Dear Friends,
I offer you greetings filled with great hope and deep faith. Hope is for a year that brings resolution and good outcome for our challenges. Deep faith in Divine Order, a belief that there is a "higher plan" in the works. A plan revealing itself through truth, loving kindness and that justice will prevail in the end. This is how I see and feel it.
Early in my teens I was introduced to astrology, metaphysics and all things esoteric. This spiritual realm made a lot of sense to me. These beliefs and teachings soothed my soul and calmed my adolescent angst. They still do.
I'm inspired because this is the Year of the Tiger, which begins with Chinese New Year festivities on February 1st. According to the Chinese zodiac, I'm a Tiger. I'm enthused and ready! It's interesting to note 2020 was the Year of the Rat, with the emphasis on survival. The Year of the Ox — 2021 — was about anchoring ourselves in a new reality. Seems like this was right on. We're about to begin the Year of the Tiger. It's all about risk-taking and adventure.
Fueled by the Tiger energy, I've chosen Empowerment as my 2022 theme. January's theme is Truth. My sadhana — or personal practice — will be to make choices that empower me to complete my goals and manifest what's on my Vision Board. Sat or Truth is a good place to start — a kind of filter for decisions based on honesty with myself.
Not surprisingly, the Tiger is Yang energy, which is male and active. However, this is somewhat softened because 2022 is the year of the Water Tiger. Water is symbolic of emotions, communication and relationships. Moreover, this will be a year for taking bold steps, making changes, connection and creativity.
Ahh...creativity. Art is food for the soul and I'm always hungry for it. My bold step this year will be the completion of my memoir. I've struggled with the completion of my life's story for twenty years. It's time to put this puppy to rest!!
As for changes, I'm open for some big ones. I'm not exactly sure what they'll be. What's important is to cultivate an anticipation for, and acceptance of change.
Finally, it's through connections that we empower and embolden ourselves. I continue to both teach and take classes on Zoom and do limited private work onsite — masked yet again. I'm grateful for the work I have and for your continuing support! Thank you.
I wish you the best for 2022. May you be bold as you make changes, connect and create.
In Light & Love,
